Thursday, 12 February, 2004

On Thursday 12thFebruary we set off on our ‘Mystery Trip’. We headed south to Moorooduc to ‘Karrawingi Park’ where we had a lovely morning tea of scones, jam and cream. The fog finally lifted to a beautiful sunny day and we spent a couple of leisurely hours wandering around the 9 acres of garden and parkland. The garden is divided into several sections linked by rolling lawns and trees, and includes a cottage garden, a formal rose garden, a settlers hut in a bush landscape, a small rainforest leading to a bush walk ending at an agapanthus lined silver birch avenue culminating at a jetty, pavilion and large lake.

We proceeded to Dromana Hotel for lunch and had time for a brief visit to ‘Tyabb Packing House Antiques’, which was huge!!!
