It was a cold morning for 39 members as we gathered together for the trip to Winchelsea. We arrived at ‘Country Dahlias’ for morning tea, and then commenced our long walk around the dahlia garden which is over 2 acres. It contains 20,000 bushes of 2,350 different colours and 15 different types. The colours are so impressive, and so many different sizes. They are all staked and named which makes for easy ordering from the catalogue.
We then proceeded to the Winchelsea Hotel, nice décor, excellent food and pleasant surroundings. Then the return trip to Melbourne arriving exactly on time.
